The WEEE Directive came into force in November 2006. Its aim is to reduce the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment. To sell their products in the European Union, manufacturers now have to prove their compliance with the new regulations. Distributors of electrical appliances will have to collect all product categories, including small household appliances such as kettles and microwaves.
The programme for recycling end-of-life products implemented in our Mitry Mory warehouse has already been in existence for several years, based on a logistical system for the return of used products.
