  • Envie Program

Since 1985, we have been partners in the 'Envie' programme, which manages a network of centres training the unemployed to repair electrical appliances.
During the course of a two-year programme, trainees repair used products which are then sold second-hand in Envie stores at a reduced price. Since its establishment, Envie has trained more than 6,000 people.
The experience thus gained in the recycling of electrical appliances has led Envie to extend its activities to dealing with end-of-life products, in accordance with the WEEE Directive, and to waste collection.

  • Telemaque Fundation

In addition, we support specific initiatives aimed at helping talented young pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to continue their studies, in the best conditions to success

  • Apprenticeship

We have also signed the 'National Apprenticeship Charter', in which we undertake to promote apprenticeship within the business.

  • The youth

Finally, thanks to sales of miniature models of our lorries in our stores, in 2006, Darty raised 68,000 euros for various social and educational initiatives aimed at helping young people.

  • Research

We also help to collect funds for medical research and social work, such as the Pasteur Weizmann Foundation, to which Darty gave 38,000 euros.
